100+ Art Fair Shenzhen 2024

I have been kindly invited to exhibit my AR arts at 100+ArtFair in Shenzhen by my friend Eric Zhu , both as an individual artist and as the community cheerleader (founder). For my personal work, I brought 17 AR pieces of my Visual Love Letter series there. (Please allow me to talk about ArtGumi DAO installation in another post).

About the art works :

Visual Love letter is an everyday art project conveying love messages and good vibes between lovers in a long distance relationship. Each pieces is pixel art animation viewable as AR (viewable with Artivive app). This series is created on a challenge of how simple pixel dots, simple movement, and short questions could convey deep feelings of love.

About the judging :

=================

As I believe that art is for collaboration, not for competition, me and ArtGumiDAO intentionally opted out from being judged by the judging panel. Many who may not know me and ArtGumi that well might have misunderstood us as a group of stubborn outcast. But the art fair is very kind, understanding, openminded, and supportive to our art activities.

During the 4 days, I have so many people viewing my pieces that my AR views exceeded 1250 times. Surprisingly small children know how to view my AR art right away after my instruction video. They even told their parents and adults in the booth how to do it  I am happy that my arts speak to the new generation. I am super grateful for all the experience, opportunity, and everyone involved.

バンコクのDevconが終わってから私とアート組のKiorがすぐに深圳に行って来ました。Eric Zhuさんにお誘いを受けて、深圳で開催された100+ArtFairに出展しました。今回は個人アーティストとして、そしてコミュニティのチアリーダー（ファウンダー）として参加しました。個人作品としては、Visual Love LetterシリーズのARアートを17点持っていきました。（ArtGumi DAOのインスタレーションについては、また別の投稿で話そうと思っています。）

作品について ========== Visual Love Letterは、遠距離恋愛中の恋人たちが愛のメッセージやポジティブな気持ちを届け合う姿を表現した日常的なアートプロジェクトです。すべての作品はピクセルアートのアニメーションで、ARで見ることができます。ARはArtiviveアプリで鑑賞できます。このシリーズは、シンプルなピクセルドットや簡単な動き、短い問いかけだけで、どれだけ深い愛の感情を伝えられるかに挑戦して作っています。

審査について =========

私はアートは競争のためではなく、コラボレーションのためにあるものだと思っています。そのため、ArtGumi DAOと私は、審査の対象になることを意図的に辞退しました。このことを知らない人たちからは、私たちが少し頑固でアウトサイダーのように見えたかもしれません。でも、このアートフェアはとても寛容で、理解があり、オープンマインドで、私たちのアート活動を応援してくれました。

フィードバックについて =================

4日間でたくさんの人に作品を見てもらって、ARの再生回数が1250回を超えました。意外だったのは、小さい子どもたちが解説動画を見たあと、すぐにARアートを見る方法を理解していたことです。そしてブースにいる親や大人にもやり方を教えていました。自分のアートが新しい世代にも伝わっているのを感じてうれしかったです。この経験と機会、そして関わってくれたすべての人に感謝しています。
